Industrial Water Tank And Gas Access Platform For Rubber Estate Nigeria Limited
CLIENT NAME
Rubber Estate Nigeria Limited
Project Description
The project involved the construction of two steel structures to improve water distribution and provide safe access for LPG tank operations at Ikoka Camp.
The first was a 6-metre-high stanchion platform designed to support a 20,000-litre water tank, utilizing 254 × 254 × 75 kg universal beams for the columns and 250 × 150 × 9 mm beams for the primary and secondary members. Gusset plates and diagonal bracing were incorporated to enhance structural stability, strength, and durability, significantly improving water supply capacity across the camp.
The second structure was a metal access platform constructed with 100 × 50 × 8 mm U-channels, steel grating with embedded 50 × 50 × 6 mm edge profiles, a staircase, landing, and safety railings. This platform provides safe and convenient access to the LPG tank for pipe inspections, gauge readings, and routine maintenance, ensuring operational efficiency and improved workplace safety.
